Pittsburgh Penguins vs Carolina Hurricanes
The Penguins’ netminder has been terrific in the early going of the 2009-10 season, winning his first five starts.
He had his best game against Ottawa, making spectacular saves against former Penguins Alexei Kovalev and Jarkko Ruutu. In the third period, Ottawa’s forwards become particularly aggressive in Fleury’s crease, often making contact with the goalie. “The Flower,” though, was up for the challenge and made a couple of nice saves while the Penguins killed a lengthy 5-on-3 power play late in the contest.
